So here's my idea. After seeing how quickly I burned through a "campaign", and seeing only so many other islands on the tiny little planet (are other planets planned?), I decided that an additional "endless" game mode would be a nice addition.
My suggestion. You have a few different maps. Each one starts you off with a castle of various sizes and/or designs and the castle is manned on the parapets by an assortment of (friendly) archers and cannons. There also may be oil-cauldrons that tip onto enemies if they reach the walls...but can only be used once per round. In the courtyard of your castle is a fully enclosed wooden shed (to protect from arrows) protected by a single squad of pikemen standing in front of it, just inside the main gate. Inside the shack is a stockpile of explosives. This is what the enemy will try to attack to blow up the castle. This is YOUR castle. Defend it at all costs.
You start outside the walls (this is where the editor box is placed), and when the round begins the game tells you what kind, and how many enemies are going to attack. You must design (or load) a bot that can keep your castle standing.
At the end of a round, debris and bodies are cleaned up (to help FPS) and the next round begins, the game tells you what enemies will be arriving this time, and you are allowed to go back into the editor to make the necessary changes. (or it can be done real-time, like in the 1st video HERE)
Each wave gets progressively harder. Enemies you will face:
I just thought this would be super fun if possible. Kind of an endless wave challenge. It would also be an excellent test for player designs if difficult enough... Feel free to discuss this suggestion and add anything to it you might think should be in there!
EDIT: I'd be willing to pay another $5 for this as DLC or something.

Each wave gets progressively harder. Enemies you will face:
- Hordes of pikemen (they should be able to chip away at the main gates HP)
- Archers, In this gamemode they can actually move, and will advance...pause and fire, and advance again.
- Cannons. The cannons main goal is to take you down. They get a few shots a piece
- Artillery (mortars). These will roll up into firing range of your castle, and begin Arcing Cannonballs at it. These will require you to go out to them the take them down before they can do much harm.
- Giants. Giants are big, high HP brutes that swing a large club with enough force to knock things off your machine or crush its wood parts. Beware!
- Knights. Resistent to arrows
- Mounted knights. Much faster. Will chase you down and poke you with lances!
- mini-machines of various design: they can be mini catapults, armored battering rams, or nothing more than a bomb on wheels. Stop at all costs!
- BOSS: A fire breathing dragon that can whip it's clublike tail at you/your castle gate to do damage.
- and much, much more!
