Been really wanting to make one of these, and I think I finally succeeded! Has left/right control and multiple angles you can fire at. The ballista starts off packed, and you have to bend the bow til the springs become taut. Works pretty well. (I'ts kind like 2 sideways catapults) Stretch-Bow.bsg (17.94 KB) Note: The save file has the machine set way far back, exactly how it is in the video. I suggest you load up that level!Controls: 1 = Lock bomb in place (not super necessary, but couldn't hurt) 2 = Unfold Bow (E to bring it back some if you go too far) 3 = Fire 4 = Release bomb (must be used very shortly after 3 is pressed) up = increase firing angle down = decrease firing angle *Hold both up+down for an angle that's not as extreme as holding just 1. I would have shot at the castle from farther out, but the game immediately kept exploding me the instant I spawned if I moved the machine ANY farther back than in this video. Leave some CC or just let me know what you think if you try it! Have fun

Woops. Yea when I was posting it I totally forgot what I named it. It'll be fixed in a minute, SORRY! What I posted was a really old (and bad) attempt

Thanks! Sometimes I'm not sure if what I make is even worth posting. I have fun making them, sure...but hearing that someone else enjoys it as well makes me feel better about making more things in the future.
Question: How do you pronounce your name? I've been wondering if it's "battalion" (like it looks like it is), or "Bay-ta-lee-on"?

This thing is awesome, I made a re loadable version but its a pain and kinda wanky. None the less great job.

really nice praesumo, love your designs :D , i'm running low on inspiration atm :( It's ok. I am too. The best I can think of is to go back and do certain machines better... I was kind of disappointed with the new cogs. We need to also have the ability to keep them from rotating at all for them to become useful. That, and possibly have a few more sizes of gears. They also don't have a steady resistance. Sometimes one cog will rotate another powered cog at high speed. Restart the simulation and that same cog seems to put up more (or less) resistance at random. It makes them really hard to use in any meaningful way. That's kinda why I'm at a loss for what to do next right now. TL/DR: I need me some inspiration! :'(
