I discovered a glitch while building a multi-shot catapult. If you have 10 pistons assigned on 10 different keys(we'll use number keys 1-0 for example), you can extend the first five perfectly fine, but once you get to the second half, 6-0, pistons stop working. It also applies to just numbers 6-0, even if the first five are not extended. So I'm trying to slowly extend piston 6-0, and I'll extend 6,7,8, and then pistons 9 and 0 will not extend. Please take a look at the design I included, as this demonstrates the glitch. If it's not a glitch and I'm doing something wrong, please inform me! Thanks!! PistonGlitch.bsg (1.19 KB)

It's not a game bug - it's just a keyboard restriction due to construction design.

You're talking about limited inputs, right? Yea I think only so many keys can be recognized at once. (Your keyboard would only input a few keys if you pressed all the keys at once...
I'm not sure though. I could be wrong.

Both previous answers are correct. The limitation comes from your keyboard, not the game. The term companies use for selling a keyboard is rollover. Rollover is how many keys can be pressed at the same time and still recognized. The limitation can also derive from the connection of your keyboard to the computer (if you have a desktop computer or an extra keyboard). For example, my keyboard has a 6 key rollover when I use USB to plug it in, but if I use a PS/2 connection, it removes the rollover limit.

An odd comment on the pistons. When toying around and using them in place of wood blocks, basically just as a metal block (that doesn't burn), sometimes when stacking them together in blocks they extend their pistons without you telling them to.

Wow, I've been PC-gaming since I was a kid and somehow I never knew about this rollover thing.
"Why would I ever pay more than $10 for a keyboard? I'll get whatever works and is cheap enough to replace the second it stops working" I've always said. To think, I could have had more than a two-or-three-key rollover all this time. D:
