I tried to upload a screenshot to demonstrate a bug and was surprised when it said the screenshot was too large. My resolution is 1920x1080 and the resulting screenshot was 1.2MB, but the forum limits individual attachments to 1MB. I would expect that the forum for supporting the game would allow uploading screenshots created within the game without requiring them to be edited first.

Upload to Facebook and use the URL with the insert image to upload a screenshot in your post

1MB is much larger than necessary for an image in a forum post, unless it's meant to be used as a wallpaper; that said, the task of resizing images is easily automated, so I'm not sure why it isn't an option in ProBoard's system. Bandwidth, maybe?
I use Photoshop myself (GIMP is also good, and free), resize them to something like 1200×700 and save as jpegs at 60% quality. They end up more like 100–200KB and still look fine.

I think you both missed the point. The point is that it's more difficult than it has to be to upload screenshots from the game. For me personally, it's not a big deal - I'm quite capable of resizing images - but I suspect that the added complexity of having to resize images before uploading them will hold some people back from posting.
Having to go to another service - especially Facebook - is not a good solution, for multiple reasons. First, it means you are linking your Facebook accounts with these forums; an unnecessary association that I would prefer to avoid. Second, now you are the mercy of Facebook's service, including any reorganization, security issues, or other things that may come up - coupling to another service adds more points of failure. Third, it's even more work to have to go use another service than it is to just resize the image using a simple program like Paint. Lastly, having to use an external service when you already have one of your own is admitting that your own service isn't up to the task.
I would also add that having large images is completely reasonable. After all, this is a support forum: people post images of bugs, suggestions, their favorite creations, and so on. Why shouldn't they be able to post an image at full quality and full screen size? 1MB isn't a terrible lot of data these days. Sure, I wouldn't want to have to load a page with dozens of full-size images in it, but many forums and content management systems have plugins to provide thumbnails - in fact, ProBoard already does this! You should be able to upload a full size, full quality image, provide a preview thumbnail within your post, and have a link to the original so that you can see it in all its glory.
Maybe this isn't an issue that Spiderling can address directly, but if not, they should forward the issue on to ProBoards.

Reveng. There is this site called Imgur... To upload a picture to a post, it's a super-simple (and fast) process. Takes maybe 2 minutes from opening Imgur to finishing linking the uploaded image into your forum post. You literally just load Imgur.comThen you click the "upload" button, and simply DRAG-AND-DROP pictures into it (or browse to upload). It takes SECONDS to upload these large screenshots, and the end result is.... You get an entire gallery of your screenshots...as many as you want...all online. To use them in a forum post simply click on the one you want to open it fullscreen, then copy/paste the browser address of that page and use the "image" function when making a post to link right to it. Honestly using imgur would have taken less time and effort than trying to individually attach every single file to the post. Plus when you do it the above way, you get a nifty picture IN your post, rather than a file to download or just a blue link to follow.... ------------------------------------------------ TL/DR: Imgur.com does all of the things you requested above. It's free, requires no email registration or FB linking, has no ads, and is so easy to use a gerbil could do it. It's how posts like this were made.

Unfortunately we are quite limited on storage space for the forum at the moment, this is why the attachment size is only 1mb, we want to ensure everyone can post their material. We're sorry for this inconvenience but there are plenty of third party sites that make image hosting quick and easy; Imgur TinyPic Photobucket Gyazo etc

I won't even lie. I just spent well over an hour testing bugs posted here on my machine and posting results, but I'm far too lazy to resize images or post them on Imgur and then post links here. I realize this is insane, but I felt it was worth mentioning. Also, I play in 1366x768, and my screenshots are also over 1mb by default.
