I have downloaded the game folders, when i try to run the exe. file, what I assume is used to start the game it comes up with this message "There should be 'Besiege_Data'
folder next to the executable". As far as I can tell the data folder is downloaded there. I apologize if there is something I am missing, I am not very good with tech and was looking for a fix.
Thank you

I had the same problem and then I extracted the zip to the desktop then I ran the game and it worked fine. Hope this helps.

Thanks but unfortunately that didn't work, I'm not really sure what to do about it

I got the same "There should be 'Besiege_Data' folder next to the executable", and the solution be nerdynerd didn't work for me either.

I tried NerdyNerd's solution again, and if your Besiege application is represented by a red flag, it should run fine. If you get "the black screen", just press the button in the lower-left that takes you to the desktop (normally represented by the computer/company's logo) and when you return to the desktop, re-open Besiege (don't try to run it from the folder again, open the one in the bottom row of icons on your computer) and after 1-5 seconds, it should load. That worked for me.

As a side note: You CANNOT drag the application start icon onto the desktop. It needs to remain in the folder. If you want a desktop icon, just rightclick it and "create shortcut", then drag THAT to the desktop.
(covering the basics, just in case)
