First of all, I am enjoying the game a lot, after reading the RPS article.
The camera control is a bit challenging on a MacBook with only a trackpad, due to the dependency on a middle-mouse click. Mac does not seem to support a middle-mouse click using the trackpad only by default.
Potential solutions could be: - having full key-board based camera control - allowing re-assigning/switching mapping of right-mouse and middle mouse button.
Regards

While we're on the subject, it would also be nice to have the option to set the camera angle relative to the machine. I've been playing around with flying machines, and it's very difficult to control them when you can't see where you're going.

Regards We are in the process of looking at ways we can improve the camaera controls and we'll look at this issue aswell. Thankyou for bringing it up. You can focus on any object, including your war machine, by clicking middle mouse on it.

Yea it gets really hard to keep the camera where you want it when pressing either wasd or up/down/left/right move the camera. So basically any input you set to control your machines movement will, over time, move the camera away from the machine.
It'd be nice to have an "placed camera" option, for when you just want the damn thing to stay still. The script that automatically tries to keep it centered on your machine becomes useless really quick when your machine breaks off into more than one piece. Perhaps keep it centered on that original (teal) block?

Clicking the middle mouse button on the machine focuses the camera position so it's looking at it, but I would like the option to also have the camera angle remain fixed relative to the machine's orientation; i.e. if I turn my machine, I want the camera to turn with it.
Praesumo, try middle clicking on a nearby object. I've tested it with your Armageddon machine, and the camera keeps looking at that object on the ground instead of flying off into the air.

I would like a camera setting that orbits around the machine and one that flies freely much like what happens if you zoom all the way in with the current camera then move around with WASD

Von, have a play with this machine to see why the camera angle can sometimes cause problems: besiege.freeforums.net/post/223/threadThe rotors make it rotate (as you might expect), and despite making constant corrections, it eventually gets to the point where you don't know which keys to press to keep it stable. Fixed wing aircraft also suffer from a fixed perspective for their own reasons.

This issue was brought up today because of the increase in flying machine's we've seen people creating. Hopefully a fixed/static camera is somthing that can be added to help fly these amazing machines.
