This is a question/ borderline suggestion about intended gameplay mechanics. I was wondering why I am able to beat a map when I've been completely destroyed?
I came to this realization after the creation of my machine "Armageddon", which consists solely of numerous bombs. Through the design of this machine, it explodes the INSTANT you press play, and wipes out everything in a good radius.
Seeing as a majority of the missions are probably going to be "destroy everything on this map", I don't think this is so good for gameplay. Shouldn't getting picked apart by those archers, cannons, oil-cauldrons, and other enemies matter?
I kind of feel like that initial "starter" block should be the "core" of the machine, and if it gets destroyed you automatically fail the mission....
Is it intended, or just temporary, that there is no fail-state?

This is intended to allow players to create potentially suicidal siege machines in order to carry out their deadly attack. In future updates there may be levels that have stricter win conditions such as the 'core' idea you've mentioned.

I like the suicidal macine aspect, I got great laughs out of using the charred front wheels of my vehicle to chase down the soldiers.

I think that'd be the best solution.
