I'd like to propose an object that can be attached to a vehicle like any other part, the only purpose of which is to be the perspective source for a first-person camera. IE, you hit a button and now your view is locked to where the object is, facing the direction it is facing, and will move as the object/vehicle moves until you hit the button again to return to the default view. This object could be in several different forms: A port-hole / eye-shaped decoration, attached to flat surfaces (like you would an armor plate) A Spy-Glass, mounted exactly as you would a cannon. Or even a "passenger", a little man you can have standing or sitting on/in your vehicle (also serving as an amusing decoration / launchable, even if you don't use the first-person-view feature) Specific benefits to such an object would include: Making a 'bumper cam' for precision driving (or front-row seat for vehicular manslaughter) Mounting next to cannons or other launchers, for accurate aiming. Attaching to the bottom of a flier, as a bombing-cam Putting on the end of a swinging weapon or launching out of a catapult in slow-motion, just to enjoy the view. I hope this isn't too much to ask, as I feel many users would enjoy the feel of being on or in their siege-engines.

I found myself wanting this part to put in the cockpit of my Apache yesterday. I think though, while using the placed cameras view, you should still be able to rotate the camera around.
If more than one is used, we should be able to assign a button to each one, so we can switch through them quickly.
An adjustable FOV for each one would be nice too

Great idea! +1 from me!
Also, it should be possible to fix the 3rd person camera, so it follows the vehicle from behing. That would also make it esier to drive/fly.

This sounds crazy, I like it.

I 2nd this notion. A fixed "pilot cam" that can be oriented to the designated front would be helpful flying planes and helicopters.
