I've spent some time recently delving in to trying to make a decent walker. I learned a lot, but I think it's time for me to move on to other projects, so I'm releasing the latest build of my behemoth walker, the "Strider". In the last five minutes I made it able to turn (in a wiiiide radius). Feel free to add to it (there are no weapons or armor currently) Just be warned. The more weight you add, the more you need to counterbalance that with lift of some kind, or it will start dragging its feet and trip. Also may or may not release a version I have of it with a reloadable catapult system on top. Strider Prototype.bsg (63.55 KB) Controls: Q/E for walking. 1 & 3 to "turn" As an added bonus, I'll throw in the "DinoRawrrr!" which I just slapped together in an hour last night with insight I learned from making the bigger one. (I was under the impression there would be a Dinosaur competition, lol) Anyways, here ya go! It is by no-means complete, and I didn't spend much time tweaking the walking so it will probably only get in a few steps unless you balance it yourself. I also just added the tail, which is a nice feature, but doesn't make walking any easier, lol. I had plans for much more (like a working head, and a more detailed body, but oh well!) DinoRawrrrr.bsg (41.46 KB) Controls: Q/E to walk (Hold both to crouch!) (tap both quickly to get jaunty!) If you try them, be sure to come back here and let me know what you liked/disliked about them! I love CC!

lol. Like I said, "incomplete" Although it wouldn't be too hard to add a head on the front with a working jaw and maybe even some "firebreathing" capabilities to get them lamb-chops roastin!

Strider looks almost like AT AT Lol. Yea, that happened totally by accident. Turns out, when you make anything with 4 legs that tall, and add "bridge" supports to it to stabilize things, suddenly is looks just like an AT-AT

The scale of these machines you guys are creating is insane. Reminds me of an old film (Wild Wild West) where the villain created a huge steampowered spider.

Becareful. You might go mad. It's my opinion that a giant spider (with legs this wide) is impossible IF the legs are articulate. The only way i see this being possible is if the legs are all "Fixed". This is due to the way that supports currently work, you'd need a TON of them for each leg, but that would disable them from bending.
