This thread is addition to this excellent thread: besiege.freeforums.net/thread/799/speed-manual-gearbox-proof-conceptI have prepared for you today a tasty sampler of universal joints, telescoping driveshafts, with some differential sauce and only one drive wheel. I hope you enjoy. Struggled with these forever until the above mentioned thread showed how to transmit power through blocks. Easy breezy. Now your awesome monster truck suspension or paddle wheeler will be simple. Attachments:Mechanix.bsg (14.51 KB)

Trying a similar thing with the diff idea - have you managed to make it so that the fans can spin at different speeds?

Oh damn, when the gears start working properly I might try to build a truck using only one powered block. Nice recreation!

Trying a similar thing with the diff idea - have you managed to make it so that the fans can spin at different speeds? Using the real diff mentioned in this thread the output shafts are not synched. That does mean different speeds BUT not that you can choose with proportional gearing. Once we get one more gear with a different number of teeth then you can have a ratio and get it done. Until then the real diff will output different speeds based on the load of each shaft but the ratio will vary continuously.
