Have an actual Osprey! This 234-block piece of medieval machinery was inspired by the real-life Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey, an aircraft capable of vertical take off and landing thanks to its characteristic rotating propellers.
UPDATE: Armed version is now available, see controls and attachments for more informations.
Armed version:
Technical info:
The normal version only comes with a single cannon, since I did not intend for it to be heavily armed. Original Ospreys are mostly used to transport troops, supplies etc.
The Osprey's Centre of Mass can be seen below. I put a lot of effort into making it as balanced as I could, you can see that the centre of mass is located right in between the rotors.
The rotors themselves can be tilted forward, just like in real Ospreys. I had to make them this big, otherwise this fat guy wouldn't even say goodbye to the ground. I'm getting the feeling that wood may not be the right answer.
Controls:
Up, Down - Rotate the blades of the engines. Use this to take off, land, and adjust your altitude.
Left, Right - Roll left and right. Holding down both at the same time may help with landing smoothly.
I
J K L - Use I and K to lower or rise the nose; Use J and L to rotate the Osprey left and right.
O, U - Use these to tilt the rotors forwards and backwards, respectively. I recommend tilting them around 3-5° forward before taking off, it's not much of a difference but, as it turned out, it helps stabilize the flight a lot. Do not go beyond ~25° however, as the machine will start losing height quickly.
G - Landing Gear (toggle)
C - Fire the cannon
=======Armed version only=======
Note: All of these are bound to the NumPad
[1], [2] - Fire the front cannons. Note that the two cannons bound to 2 will drop to the ground once fired to decrease the total weight of the Osprey.
[4], [5] - Drop bombs, left and right respectively.
[7] - Deploy rear flamethrowers (use against infatry).

I hope y'all have a great time flying around with this boy, and that Hopefully I've inspired somebody to surpass this Osprey in its Ospreyness by building one that can actually tilt its rotors all the way forward without dropping dead to the ground! Lel already underway, see below for prototype Osprey.
Comment, rate, and feel free to modify my creation. Have fun!
