While holding down a key to control some part of a machine, pressing another key will cancel both actions instead of performing both. For an example, download this machine: besiege.freeforums.net/post/223/threadPress j to release the aircraft, then hold down rshift to gain altitude. After a couple of seconds, while still holding down shift, hold down numpad 8 as well to tilt forward. At this point, the machine will stop gaining altitude and will also fail to tilt forward. The same problem is apparent with other combined actions, although it seems to behave itself when pressing the keys down at the same time. When using a machine like this that requires constant course corrections, this issue causes frequent Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly events. I'm running Windows 7 on a 2–3 year old laptop. The problem occurs when using either the inbuilt keyboard or a USB keyboard. output_log.txt (25.23 KB)

That occurred to me at first, but it's not what's causing this. I described above how to reproduce the problem while only holding down two keys, and I know my keyboards can handle at least three.

I was able to replicate what you reported with that machine. I think the problem is how Shift is handled, because holding Num8 and then holding R Shift works fine.
I've also had no issue with two button holds on my tank controls using combinations of G, B, H and N.
