Both versions of the game so far have started by default in 1920x1080. Which neither of my active monitors supports.
My 32" tv has is a 720p, but has a weird 1080p mode which works well enough to let me change the resolution to a proper setting.
Not sure if this is specific to my setup or the game always defaults to that resolution.
