So, I'm reporting this bug even tho it's the best and I use it on almost every machine, Hopefully some of the functionality it creates can just be added into the game.
When trying to place an object on an intersection the object turns red and won't allow you to build, but it's actually possible to still place it there.
If you have a keen eye you can see for a slight moment before it turns red and transparent the object looked normal. Well in that slight moment you can place the block.
To do so move your mouse on and off the location you want to build it quickly while clicking your mouse quite fast. It's a bit random but eventually you will be able to build.
I usually use this to essentially flip blocks that can't be flipped, like placing two wheels next to each other with their outsides facing towards one another. You can do this with the rotation blocks to connect then by their cylindrical ends. I've also used it with tank tracks and placing the circle armor plates where they aren't allowed.
If you test it and can't seem to replicate it let me know, I can upload a video showing it's uses and it's problems.

Yeah, this is a known exploit, and is often used to build some funky things,
Although if theres too many blocks intersecting, they often explode off.
