There are an increasing number of fake social media pages & websites that offer copies of Besiege. These copies often contain hidden spyware/malware or other software that might harm your computer.
With this in mind we wanted to make a clear list of places where you can purchase legitimate copies of Besiege:Steam Store: Humble Store Front: Humblestore via our website:

i bought the game, but the angle snap mod doesnt work on 0.04 so i had to torrent a 0.03 version. does this make me a bad lowlife doglock also some people torrent a copy first to see how it runs on their pc/worth buying it. I remember the days when demos were out there, i could download a demo, see if my pc could play it and if i liked the idea of the game. BRING BACK DEMOOOOS! besiege devs, i do love your game. I might do a steam give away to some people via steam gifting. is this alright by you guys?

You can't go to a grocery store and buy a pound of steak for $7.00! Do you take a bite before you buy? Just to see if it is tender enough!
It amazes me how people try to justify piracy. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! We're not talking Ubisoft or another big corporation here. Stop being so cheap. Kick up a few bucks. If you don't like it throw it away just as you would any other consumable product.I never met anyone who pirated a game and then payed for it. This game is being developed by a small group who could use the money. If we ever hope to see this developed to its fullest potential they're going to have to make some.

Because with many things you buy, you actually do have the option to just try it, because you can change it back at the store.

I'd just like to say we've had a number of people informing us that they bought the game after pirating.
Anyway, lets not turn this into a flame war.
The important thing is that people know if things are legitimate or not.

Not sure if that's a good comparison. Because with many things you buy, you actually do have the option to just try it, because you can change it back at the store. You do understand that returning something is a courtesy extended to you by the retailer? Excuse me if the community thinks that I am mistaken. But, I thought that the point of Early Access games was so that we could pay a small amount of money to the developers to TRY their game. In the hopes that they would make enough to continue working on their project.

You do understand that returning something is a courtesy extended to you by the retailer? True, however at least here in Germany, you actually have a right to return something if you ordered it online. This is precisely because you can't always check if it is really what you want before you buy it. But anyway, I actually agree with your general point that the devs deserve every bit of support they can get, so I encourage everyone to just buy the game. It's worth it! Also, let's listen to Von and not start a flame war or get off topic too much.

This is one of the few games that is worth buying in these days - low price, not some big studio making it, actual interaction between devs/players, it's really really great game even in alpha, ... -- When I've seen some pictures from this game few months back on Behance, I thought that it's the last time I've heard of it (like most times when I see something good going on). But now, it's even better than I expected Great work!

This thread is moving rapidly off topic. The issue here is social media pages and websites posing as Spiderling related content.
We are simply warning people to be careful and not fall victim to malicious attempts to scam, harm or otherwise mislead people.
If this thread continues to wander from the topic it will be closed.
