So when I first loaded the game I was unpleasantly surprised by a pink home screen. I have watched YouTube videos on the game so I knew you had to click the globe on the screen. I spent a few minutes searching around for ipsilon and when I did find it I clicked it and the ipsilon kingdom was also pink. Once I found stage 1, I found out that the explosion animation is also pink. I don't know how to fix this! Please help!

Hi theducktapeguy Have you tried uninstalling (deleting the game files) and reinstalling the game? Could this also be what you are referring to? Bug: Everything is Purple Boxes! Desc: The game is full of purple and white boxes, there are no textures or models. Fix: This is usualy caused by failure to extract the .rar properly. Many people have solved this by runing winrar(or other zip program) in admin mode, while extracting. Be sure not to close the program before its finished and that you extract all the contents of the .rar Could you also upload screenshots of what is happening? as well as this information: Operating System System Specs Game Version Steps to reproduce bug or what you were doing when the bug occured Please attach output_log.txt, it is located in Besiege/Besiege_Data Thanks in advance!  |

This is something we're looking into, in the past this bug has been caused by miss-extracting the rar file as stated above. But these new issues appear slightly different and are with the steam issue.
It is almost certainly graphics related though.
Updating your drivers would be your first stop.

I have the pink screen and did what ducktapeguy did but I if I unzip and reload the program, will I lose all the machines that I have built?

You are able to copy the files out of the besieged folders. (In game, load machine, click on file directory beload the 'load machine' text, opens New window containing all saved machines, copy these.) |

This happens when you have an older graphics card. The computers at school do this, they have Intel integrated graphics, while my PC runs it fine.

This happens when you have an older graphics card. The computers at school do this, they have Intel integrated graphics, while my PC runs it fine. There is a similar issue, where during the extraction of the files if it doesn't happen correctly, will result in a similar pink/purple screen, however from the quote below, if it does exact it properly, then the graphics card does not support shader model 3. If your sure that you've extracted the game correctly then it sounds like your GFX card doesn't support Shader model 3. |
