Hello, I've come across what I think is a bug. Decouplers sometimes fail to 'explode' on certain occaisons, for the entire 'play time' one or more of the decouplers I had on a build would not explode, no matter how many times I pressed the (re-binded) key. Sometimes they would work, but more often than not they wouldn't. In about 1/10 cases they would work.
Regards, Afro
EDIT: Attached build I've been having issues with ( slingshotx3_rev_3.bsg (9.73 KB) )
re-creation steps: press play, press decoupler buttons ([8], [5], [2])
controls: (all on numpad)
slingshot # | load | sling & decouple | release | 1 | [7] | [8] | [9] | 2 | [4] | [5] | [6] | 3 | [1] | [2] | [3] |

Hey afroelephant and welcome to the forums! May I enquire if you have any recreation steps, and to see your build? If you need to know how to upload the build, please see this thread. Do you have any information specific to the situation that the bug occurred?

Alright.. So I'm in the initial stages of testing out the issue, and I am encountering exactly what you specified, I though it might be the fact that it is attached to bracing, so I removed that, and that didn't seem to impact it, my other thought, is that the stress from the springs might be messing with it... however that doesn't seem to effect it.
I then lined up a tonne of decouplers to see if any of them bug, none... ( although this wasn't pressing them one by one... testing that next) After testing pressing them one by one, they all worked fine I then added blocks either side of them to see if being sandwiched is the issue, and came to the conclusion that didn't effect it either. I then added grabbers, and objects to some of those grabbers, and came up with the same result, nothing.
At least I have narrowed it down... The original design had the bug where removing the springs, the grabber, braces ect. did not effect/fix the bug. However, when I placed a row of decouplers to test, none of them had issues, so I stepped it up till I found any bugs, in which it did not. The final line of decouplers had almost everything everything besides springs, and holders below them... (they were also in somewhat different configurations.)
My only thought is that you had saved it, and in saving, then reloading it, an issue developed with the decouplers not decoupling... Although putting fresh decouplers on doesn't solve the issue... What if you saved it again as something new, then try loading it...

Strange, I saved it under a different name, then re-loaded it, all of them worked for the first 2 tries. In subsequent attempts I had the same problem. It seems to be the right-most 2 for some reason, and they both seem to not work more then the left one, very strange. Also after the 100% success on the first tries it seemed to decay into the original 10% success which I also find very odd.
Hope something of this helps.

Hmm perhaps, it all helps to try narrow down the issue.. I feel like theres some dodgy stuff going on with saves and such, it would correlate with some other similar issues (disappearing blocks and such)

If it helps at all I recall having all the braces 'disconnect' from everything when a build was loaded. It only happened once and I haven't been able to re-produce it since.

Hmm... could be a good sign... that braces might impact it.. might need some more info to narrow it down... compare other issues ect.
