Description: 2 circular saws, and a piston are attached to a block via springs. Clicking L at a certain interval will cause the springs to get so long they look like black lines and are longer than the map. And then the thing will disappear. Steps to reproduce: 1. Load Wynnfrith’s Keep. 2. Load DOOMSLAYER : DOOMSLAYER.bsg (21.45 KB) 3. Click space to start the level. 4. Click L to launch the catapult. 5. With L still pressed, click C to fire the cannons. the machine should come apart a bunch. 6. click Y to burn a bunch of stuff. 7. Locate the 2 circular saws attached to the piston + block via springs. it’ll probably be in the middle of what’s left of the core of the machine. 8. Click L to pull the springs together. 9. try to get the object to look like a Y- one circular saw at 2 of the extremities, the piston at the other, with the connecting block in the middle and spread out. 10. repeat steps 8 and 9. 11. If timed correctly, the object will get longer with every press of L. 12. It will get so long that the springs stop looking like springs and just become long black lines that are longer than the map while fully zoomed out. 13. The object will disappear. Would include a screen shot, but everytime i get the thing long enough, it disappears or i screw up the L timing. First off, fantastic post! Incredibly well laid out, and easy to follow recreation steps! secondly, I was able to recreate the situation (made easy with your recreation steps ) I was also able to get some pictures, bit tricky with a mac, but I got some... Now, this seems to me as an issue with the physics, because each time you contract the springs (by pressing L, timed very well), you are applying a force, and giving the springs more energy, as the contract with more energy they are able to travel further past the mid point. --- A good analogy is that the springs are a swing. If you have a swinging swing and you do not apply any force, the swing will eventually stop (which is what happens with the springs), however, if you apply a force each time by swinging your legs you are able to gain more momentum and thus travel further. Which is exactly what happens here. Pictures:
