I can only assume a 1 KB file means it was somehow corrupt at least.
I created a very labor intensive "tank" that used several different methods of work-arounds to link hinges together for tracks (link to wood block, delete wood block, build another hinge). Don't know if that was a cause or not, but when I try to load it up today to finish my work, the preview looks right, but it doesn't load anything and only shows the starter block. If I load it a few more times, the starter block shifts to a 45 degree angle and then I get an "intersection" error when I try to add blocks to it.
If I look in my saved folder, the file only shows 1 KB of data as well, vs the 40+ KB other machines have.

Hi Lerxst, May I enquire as to how many machines you have saved? I believe there were some people having issues when they had a lot (30+) machines saved. Is it related to this: besiege.freeforums.net/thread/78/linux-unable-load-saved-machines or this; besiege.freeforums.net/thread/590/save-machine-anymore-past-hour Issue at all? Are you able to elaborate what you mean by 'corrupt'? I understand that when you load it only loads the core block. Can you also tell me is it any specific block that disappears, also, which map did you save your machine on? If creative, where in creative did you save it. Can you attach the corrupted file to see if the issue is with your files, or with the save itself.

The saved machine is attached. I saved it in Creative mode, at the default location. I don't think it's related to any of the other links since I'm not using Linux, and the rest of the world loads, as do other machines. I don't think it's the other issue either since I can still save other machines I create and their files all seem fine and load fine. I've since, managed to create another one that has linked hinges and several wheels and that too, loads fine. I also only have about 9 machines saved (4 I downloaded off the site, 2 base frames I made and 3 machines I made). Tank.bsg (191 B) A comparable machine I saved at about the same point in building with about the same number of parts, in creative mode, at the default location as well: Crawler.bsg (40.21 KB)

Hmm... interesting, it appears as though the file is near blank. I inspected the contents of the file to find... Where a full file shows: So it's as if the game is saving a blank block and wiping any block info you have created. Although you mention that it shows a preview of what you had intended to save. I believe this bug would need to be brought to the Dev's attention, however reaction steps will need to be narrowed down. If this is occurs again, let me know here.

Hi. Pretty much the same problem here. But it also looks like the Linux problem of empty world. For a few times I've been unable to save any machine on my game. Each time I do, if I load the file I get a blank area; The environnement is there, but no machine, I don't even have the basic block in the middle. And then I can't load anything else if I don't close the game and relaunch it. Even the valid files will display this "void of death"... very frustrating, since I made some good concepts recently

Have you tried uninstalling (deleting the files) and reinstalling the game?
(you should be able to back up the save files)
