I was planning to create 2 battlebots to fight each other, so i decided to test how the weaponry affects the components. We know that bombs and fire affect your war machine, and over-steering bits will eventually break it, but i wanted to see if the blades and boulder did anything. It seems that neither the circular saw, blade nor spike affect your construction when hit directly by these. Maybe with enough force they do, but attached to a steering hinge they do no damage other than breaking at the hinge itself. I think it would be cool if the circular saw could actually cut through your wood components with ease and sound like a hand saw going through wood. I did a drop test for the boulder and it turns out you have to drop it from approximately 18 blocks high to snap a wood beam 1 block thick. While plausible, it's a heavy component to be launching at that force. The cannon did no damage to anything at its closest range. Granted, what i'm trying to do build isn't exactly what the devs had in mind (then again if you look in the war machine section, most of the stuff isn't ), but i think it would be fun to have the ability to break your own stuff. It would certainly affect your designs, as you'll have to be sure your circular saw doesn't touch your wooden beams, for example. I think it would lead to smarter design solutions. Oh, also springs should be affected. Would be cool if saws, fire, etc, could cut through them.
