i had a few occasions where the victory screen (the one with the trumpets) would remain visible after i switch level or press space bar to go back to the build menu. I noticed this happened when I would press the space bar just as i completed a mission.

Did you continue playing through the victory screen, then hit next? Did you perhaps reset the stage after you won, and still have the victory screen? Or is it just sporadic, and occurs randomly?

i will try to recreate it today to see if it happens again and to study the process of how it happened.
from what i recall, i had a quick shooting weapon on the first level where you're extremely close to the building. I would shoot and press spacebar as soon as the projectile struck the building. It happened 2 or 3 time, and the only way to remove the overlay was to exit to the level select or main menu.

I tried recreating it, by pressing space as soon as my cannonball hit the house. To me it didn't happen the same way as you described hobbes, although it was similar. The red flag in the red circle that appears in the top center of the screen didn't go away before I beat the level again or pressed next level. It's a minor thing, but still something to look at before the final release.

I too tried to recreate it, and got a similar result to NubViking, in that, quickly hitting spacebar after completing the objective would result in the red circle + flag to appear, and stay there until the level is completed once again, or the next level button is pressed.
Recreation: Hit spacebar immediately after completing the objective. Just as the red circle + flag is just about to appear.
It doesn't quite seem consistent with what you have suggested occurred... Where the victory screen (not sure if trumpets included) would stick around even after continuing onto the next stage.
I just want to check that your game is up to date at v 0.03. You can check this at the main screen, where the version is displayed just above the words Besiege.
