There is something sort of like it, It doesn't have it's own section, But I assume they will nearly sticky the tread to the top of every sub-forum, which will allow it to be seen, no matter which sub forum you are.

It's because it isn't that important  But i do think that such section would make sense (frankly im quite sick of those "sticked in every section" threads) |

You make a good point... If, eventually you get a fair few announcements, you could have upwards of 5,6 or even 7 threads sticked to the top of every sub-forum, which would certainly be a pain to scroll through.
