Had the problem try to create a sort of controllable hinge using cogs instead of a steering hinge, there's no static cogs that you can place to lock with moving cogs. Adding either static cogs or the ability to lock unpowered ones would be great.

Just use a powerd cog, use key mapper, and then make the power cog left/right into one key. that would then lock it. like just make both turn the key "5" on num.

Thats a rather complex and roundabout solution though, don't you think? Thats why i'm suggesting the addition of static cogs, or the ability to lock cogs. It provides an easier way to have two unconnected or hinge connected parts of a build interact.

This is just the kind of feedback we need. We want to know where people want to take cogs or if they're interested in the at all.

We are very interested! And for now, to make static cog in less "roundabout"-ish way one need to attach it by the other side, instead of this: []-| ([] block and -| cogwheel) you should try do it like that: []|- I hope im making sense here. It works, of course it isn't perfect (some space above / next to cog is used for ist unused axis) but it definitely works.

Yeah, of course we're interested in cogs. Cogs make the world go 'round!
