It appears that wings only slow falling. I would like it if your vehicle could gain enough ground speed to take off using lift like an actual plane.

I think that is a pretty good idea, it would certainly help with flight and probably help with one of my current machine's problems.

The propellers do work but the wings should really have the same property.

You can get lift with the wings. Its tough and took me some time time to get the hang of but it definitely works. Here's a plane that only uses wings for lift. Biplane mk61.bsg (7.7 KB)

As XerxesBlue says, wings provide lift with increasing speed but it is difficult to control... (mainly by the lack of a third person perspective - adjusting the camera in the direction of flight is annoying). Simple biplane in attavhment. hold down C and the plane lifts smoothly, arrows/Z/X - steering(god luck) : ) Attachments:wing2.bsg (5.05 KB)
