And i can not understand how did he build them, because all the elements are at an angle:

That was pretty awesome to see, and that thing is a monster. Zisteau did similar big (not a huge as those, but big) wheels without using a mod. It wasn't as effective (they fell apart eventually) but it is kind of possible without the mod as well.
