I don't know if this has been suggested before. If it is, please delete this.
I understand machine vs machine multiplayer won't work as average consumer computers simply do not have the horsepower to do so. How about have a single machine operated by multiple people?
After playing the game a bit, I find some of my machines are near impossible to operate by myself effectively. Constantly clicking this button then that button then referring to my sheet of what parts are what buttons.
It would be great if there is a mode where there is just one machine. But with several operators. This could bring death machines to the next level. Just imagine, a machine with 4 separate cannon placements each with it's own pivot and swivel. 5 people, one drive the machine, and 4 on each of their own turrets. Flying machines too! One man concentrate on not crashing the damn thing. And another shoot cannons and drop bombs.
What do you guys think?

That sound like a cool idea ! Many people have suggested PvP multiplayer, but I haven't heard of co-op yet. It seems like it could be a lot of fun though

Another idea I had for co-op would be larger siege levels (even though this is pretty big, you may get something from this) so that you basically HAVE to build multiple machines with different roles for the players (say a machine able to break a wall, another one to kill the soldiers/archers, another guy has to make a flying machine in order to reach something in a tower?)

There's a horrible problem with this! I like it but eh... The FPS?... Ever build something TOO big and have the game die? That would most likely happen with multiplayer, i like the idea- fantastic, but the FPS simply CANNOT handle it! It will choke up and just cause more pain than good sadly. maybe if the FPS was good- yea. but otherwise i dont think this is even possible. The FPS would simply just die. only if the frames just didnt. Good idea though.
