Anytime I try to massively overhaul a project I find I want the blue-outlined starting block isn't in the ideal position. Unfortunately this usually leads to deleting everything around it and rebuilding from the beginning, which is far from ideal. I have two suggestions for solutions to this problem.
1. (Simple) make the center block either optionally or consistently non-colliding, like braces. This would allow machines to have them sticking in all manner of inconvenient places without a significant impact. (It could also not create attachments when in non-colliding mode, like the long side of wood planks.)
2. (Complex) Make the center block a standard, placeable, delete-able block. This would be more difficult, I'd imagine, since the game appears to mount all parts relative to this center part. It would require the machine to be decoupled from the position of the block, negating most of its purposes.
Of course, a copy-paste utility would reduce the need for this.

You can freely move this block around with the "translate machine" button top center, looks like a cross with arrows up, down, left and right. Grab a coloured arrow and move the block. Move it to a corner, add a load of blocks to it to get to your starting point and delete the blocks to the blue one. That block will just stay put when your vehicle goes live.
Look at some designs, there are no wooden blocks at all, just braces with the blocks removed. Using this method you can carry burning blocks with impunity.
I would like to see the ability to select blocks by dragging the cursor over them (as you do with armies etc in strategy games) and freely copy/cut/paste

I would like to have some kind of feature to relocate the blue starting block also. I built a device that CAN beat all the current levels, but fails to beat the ones that you have to move to a certain location because of the location of the blue block. I would have to completely rebuild the machine to move it which is not going to happen.

Google Drive link to machineThe machine controls are a little confusing, but I made a control list here if you want. I just want to be able to move the blue block to the other machine. The machine it is on, the reloader, doesn't move. So on the levels where you have to reach a particular destination, this machine fails.
