Looked briefly and didn't see any other suggestions like this.
As something that's (potentially) simpler than 'copy/paste' and 'mass edit' which are popular suggestions: If you click on a block in the bottom 'block chooser' bar with the keymapper, you should be able to change the default keybinds and parameter tunings. This way you could set up, for example, a set of wheels with different controls and speed, then quickly and easily place 16 of those wheels, or a set of pistons that all toggle on the key Q, or whatever.
You would want an easy way to return that block to default, I can think of three ways that would make sense (with 1 being compatible with 2 and/or 3): 1) Have a "reset to default" button (on all of the keymapper windows) 2) When the level changes (IE editor re-loads) block is reset to default 3) When you change blocks, the block is reset to default.

I like this idea This would be very useful in situations where you need to place a lot of "powered/mechanical" parts, like some 16-wheeled monster or a massive piston-based transportation system with 40+ pistons.
