Clearly, a minesweeper with a long arm is the safest solution to get through a minefield but I'm wondering whether you can build a real mine resistant vehicle. Soon, I had to realise that armor and suspension alone aren't enough, because it still burns to death like this fully armored vehicle: Now I ended up with a quite unsatisfying build using saws as wheels. I had to trade most of the power for at least a bit of controllability by using hinges: quite invincible.bsg (2.45 KB) Did you find better solutions? I know, that the wheels of zodium's Chaos Tank can take a bomb but they are rather huge and impractical for "normal" purposes.

And the award goes to valdarkwall and his tracked tank with it's rather compact and super manoeuvrable design.

Sorry for rehashing this old thread, but we clearly missed the simplest solution. You could call it a smaller version of valdarkwall's second design. The first design didn't break in any explosion yet while the second one sometimes crashed it's own back axis in the front axis, breaking some decouplers. But valdarkwall's design sometimes slipped it's chains, as well. hard to downsize even more but slow: invincible.bsg (1.86 KB) a little bit faster but less stable: invincible2.bsg (3 KB) Simply use arrowkeys for control.
